On 30 April 2009, M. Joao Pedro Gracia, director of the International Service of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon) in charge of the Calouste Gulbenkian Cultural Centre (Paris) announced the attribution beginning 2009 of two fellowships per year to the ECAF Consortium. The fellowhips are designed to support research on the history of the presence of Portugal in Asia and will be tenable in centres of the ECAF network in Asia and/or Europe.
