Pondicherry
Since 1955 members of the EFEO intermittently directed the program in indology of the neighboring Institut Français de Pondichéry. This collaboration continued after the EFEO Center was established, in 1964, in a separate building that houses its own collections and provides facilities for its European and Indian collaborators as well as numerous visiting specialists and doctoral students.
